It is simply amazing what any youngster who looks at the Four Seasons in the Life of Ludovic can learn in 90 minutes. This is the complete series of that lovable bear and a great addition to any collection that does not have the earlier titles. When I first viewed this animated tale, I was concerned about the length of these poignant short stories. After all, 90 minutes is long for any 3 or 4 year old to sit still and watch. Yet to my surprise, Ludovic pulls it off with flying colors. As I have already mentioned there are four tales: The Snow Gift, A Crocodile in my Garden>, Visiting Grandpa, and Magic in the Air which revolve around the four seasons, summer, autumn, winter and spring and themes that most children and some adults will be able to relate to and remember as some their childhood experiences. Parents, children’s librarians and anyone child oriented will find these tales delightful, as well as insightful. Co Hoedeman has a way with words and art form that give Ludovic the life of a child many of us can relate to and enjoy. As with my other reviews on Ludovic, I warmly recommend this for any children’s collection in a library or at home. Highly Recommended
