Sticky: A (Self)Love Story candidly examines the taboos of masturbation in the United States. Comprehensive in scope, social mores are analyzed as they relate to the physiology of masturbation, gender, politics, history, shaming culture, religion, Robert Kinsey's research, the women's liberation movement, as well as crime and monogamy issues. Scenes from popular movies, a celebrity case study and interviews from medical and religious authorities advocate on behalf of auto-eroticism. Also a comparative analysis of this behavior is undertaken and presented concerning the broader animal kingdom.

Animations between each segment lighten the mood for this contentious subject. Similar in tone to the film Reefer Madness (1934), Sticky is most suitable viewing for adults and enhances the veracity of academic and medical library collections.
