Reviewed by LaRoi Lawton, Library & Learning Resources Department, Bronx Community College of the City University of New YorkAnother film in the Kids Can Save the Planet Series, by Dylan D’Haeze, a young filmmaker who explores how climate change is altering our planet’s ordinary weather conditions into something reminiscent of the sci-fi film, The Day After Tomorrow (1976, 2004), which put the entire planet in the cross-hairs of an sudden international storm plummeting our planet into a new Ice Age. What is interesting about this film like its predecessor, Plastic is Forever, is that it showcases many young people who are genuinely concerned and doing something on both a small and large scale to reduce the negative impacts of climate change on our planet. The films also points to the political, social and economic conundrums that help to make any real effort to address the real threat to our climate based misinformation that is being viewed as factual.
