The Unafraid of the title are the undocumented community who with the advocacy of Freedom University are fighting for their rights with DACA and the ability to attend college. This documentary centers on three individuals: Alejandro, Silvia, and Aldo. Their experiences help us understand their struggles.

One problem is tuition. In Georgia, Silvia is advised that there is no federal aid and no in-state tuition for a DACA recipient, that she must pay what an international student would, which is much more. Alejandro is able to go to college in Kentucky. Aldo faces other challenges.

The film raises the issues of immigrant rights and the quest for opportunity. The personal stories of these students illuminate their efforts and the need for activism and support. This is an important view on a timely topic to educate and inform the public.
