This video discusses the various early intervention modalities for autistic children. In doing so, it provides helpful guidance for parents confused and anxious about which therapy might be best for their child. These therapies, which range along a continuum from behavioral to social/developmental approaches, are viewed through the eyes of Canadian parents who provide their perspectives on their children’s challenges and the benefits of the various treatments, as well as the government’s support for early intervention efforts. The information about the therapies, however, should be welcomed by any audience of parents of autistic children, Canadian or not. Highly recommended for consumer health and parenting collections.
