Anyone amazed and astounded by the recent actions of the United Nations and its Security Council would do well to view UN: Human Rights Commission - Human Wrongs Commission. The United Nations as a whole is charged with being the most entrenched and pampered work force in the world. That alone would be indictment enough. The Human Rights Commission is accused of using language that has no meaning and of incurring process over action. Recently, members have included China, Libya, Iran, Iraq, and others who mock the human rights system. The Chinese suppression and slaughter of Tibet goes unpunished, according to the video, because power in economic trade equals political power in the United Nations. Their human rights violations had no affect on Beijing being named the site for the 2008 Olympics. Amnesty International issued concerns just minutes after the Olympics Committee made their announcement. Ireland's Mary Robinson was a victims advocate as UN Human Rights Commissioner, but she announced her retirement after years of charging the windmill. UN: Human Rights Commission - Human Wrongs Commission is highly recommended for all collections.
