This film is a montage of ten films on urban subjects from nine different countries. We are taken on a cinematic journey from one city to another via a wide variety of videographic techniques. For example: Worst Case Scenario by John Smith, is a montage of mainly black and white photos. Exchangeable Cities by Kentaro Taki reinvents the split screen. Je n’ai pas du tout l’intention de sombrer by French video artist Augustin Gimel is a montage consisting of a rapid succession of scenes of building facades that fill the screen until a bit of blue sky appears. Sarajevo Vertical by Toby Cornish, is a vertical portrait of Sarajevo.

The cutting edge video artists and filmmakers involved in the making of this film have collaborated in offering a new perspective on urban landscapes. Rapid, sometimes jarring graphics and a driving soundtrack all contribute to an overall impression of experimental. This is an extremely interesting film with many clever visual interpretations of everyday urban scenes.

The artists involved in this production are: Marina Chernikova, Nose Chan, John Smith, Toby Cornish, Alli Savolainen, Kentaro Taki, Pablo Altes, This film is recommended for any college or university with a film studies or urban studies program.
