HRM video distributes several programs concerning substance abuse, and this one, as the title suggests, aims to inform you about everything you need to know on the topic in 22 minutes. It does a good job – but strictly for the junior high to high school student. The video provides an overview of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, inhalant, stimulant, club drug and performance enhancing drug abuse. It also reviews substance abuse and the law.

Music, graphics, and narration are very high quality, professionally edited and produced. It has a smart, upbeat feel, and packs an amazing amount of information into a short period of time. The Teacher’s Resource Guide is well done, and as with other HRM programs, truly enhances the content of the video for classroom use. School media collections would be well served by this program. Instructors should note that some of the same video clips are used in other HRM video programs on substance abuse: GHB: The Facts, Club Drugs: The Real Deal and The Truth About Hallucinogens.
