The film briefly, but thoroughly, discusses how the New Hampshire primary is engrained into the culture of the state. Citizens scrutinize candidates and have a unique willingness to discuss politics at great length. Most New Hampshire residents are eager to respond to exit polls.
Discussing the tremendous political weight of the New Hampshire primary, which is widely accepted as setting the tone for the entire election, not just the nomination, the film emphasizes the roles of college students both as campaign workers and as a voting block. It also briefly discusses the more congenial nature of primary campaigns.
Primaries is highly recommended to anyone middle school age or older, but is particularly recommended to middle school audiences.
