The focus of the video is on self-image issues that teens tend to place so much emphasis on. The 4 chapters cover acne, the appropriate age for make up, child modeling, and piercing. Some of the information (acne, piercing, or modeling) presented in the video could be used in a health class or family and consumer science concerning teen issues or parenting but generally speaking the video is not presented as a classroom tool. The topics are current in today’s teen world and would be of more help to parents and teens rather than used in a school setting. The sections on acne and piercing could possibly be used in a classroom setting with some additional accompanying material. Not recommended.
