Athletes, especially professional athletes, are highly adored and respected by sports fans. Adolescents see athletes as role models and business moguls make plenty of money on advertisements at various sports events. Unfortunately, images of sports and athletes in various media formats can have a negative influence on young adults. Why do they sell beer during sports events? Why are beer commercials shown during games? Sport stars being accused of using steroids, being charged with driving while under the influence and using cocaine and other illegal drugs are all part of the impact on young adults.

After viewing this program, young athletes will be able to make an informed and sound decision about whether to use steroids or consume alcohol. In addition they will learn how steroids and alcohol affect the athletes’ body. Recommended for viewing by adolescents, especially those who are participating in sports.
