Often touted as "the doyenne of British Cookery" Marguerite Patten's video Cooking for Health is outdated and simplistic. Ms. Patten may have been the BBC equivalent of Julia Child in post war England but she won't appeal to today's modern cook. The recipes presented are far from appealing in an era of low fat and high fiber. Unless you are a fan of Marguerite Patten you'll find the presentation amateurish and plain old-fashioned. Recipes included are stir-fry vegetables; tuna dip; fruit and vegetable salad; salmon; mock crab (an egg based stuffed potato) and piperade.
