Unfortunately the primary goal is somewhat overshadowed by the cheesy writing, poor acting, and terrible sets, all of which are designed to entertain, but the results fall embarrassingly short. The scenarios are slightly adequate in demonstrating fundamental videography and editing concepts. The back of the DVD case refers to the, “spine-tingling (but not too scary) horror plot…” and mentions that it is all shot, “Set in an actual movie studio....” There is nothing spine-tingling about the plot and there are better looking studio sets in high school auditoriums. The information being delivered is fairly accurate and most likely useful to introductory high school theater classes or curious public library patrons seeking to know a little about how movies are made.
