Essentials of Faith attempts to answer these questions from the religious perspective of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Humanism, and Paganism. Through a series of interviews with a handful of experts in each of the varied religious sects, this series, filmed in England, gives a short but significantly insightful general overview of each religion within the context of its specific cultural and political climate.
Content is a well organized but 3 of the seven DVDs were damaged and either the sound or the production or both were flawed at times. Not recommended for in-depth study at the college level but recommended for inclusion in a public or high school library with a need for a short concise summary of different religious theories and practices.
