This DVD is a compilation/celebration of an historic event: the 100-year anniversary of the film A Trip Down Market Street in 1905. On September 24, 2005, over 1,000 people re-enacted the film again by filming a second A Trip Down Market Street 100 years after the first film.

This DVD includes the original 1905 film and the new 2005 film (both with music by Beth Custer and the Beth Custer Ensemble), newly-commissioned films by numerous San Francisco filmmakers, other historic films featuring footage from early San Francisco, a behind-the-scenes documentary of the September 2005 film, an interactive film comparison of Market Street from both films, and photographs marking time on Market Street. A very interesting historic, film, media, and urban event focused on San Francisco.
