Daniel Cook is an adorable, red-headed and ambitious 6-year old boy who introduces young children to various careers. His adventures in Episode 18 include the exploration of careers as an optometrist, a veterinarian, a trainer of seeing-eye dogs, a zookeeper and a yoga instructor. Daniel is always enthusiastic to learn and eagerly participates and enjoys the experiences.

His musical adventures in Episode 24 include conducting a symphony orchestra, writing a song, being a drum major, singing jazz and disco dancing.

His career oriented adventures in Episode 26 are about road demolition and rebuilding equipment, stop motion animation, toy invention, and computerized visual effects and a guided tour of an airport.

Often times Daniel’s spontaneous actions and inquisitive nature causes interruptions which can be distracting to older viewers. Younger children will enjoy Daniel’s antics and his happy, friendly nature. If viewed straight through, however, younger children will often loose interest toward the end. The price, $195.00/DVD with a 10% discount if purchased online, makes this item somewhat prohibitive for the average school or public library and moves this item into the reserved category.
