Modern, urban life – with all its inherent complications and absurdities – serves as the backdrop for this humorous short animated film. A woman spends a 24-hour period in search of a specific office supply product, available at any stationery store. Canadian filmmaker Monica Rho provides viewers with a brief glimpse into the life of a nameless corporate cube-dweller, working harder and more to get ahead. Featuring the voice of actress Sandra Oh, the woman experiences first-hand the isolation, anxiety and frequent futility of contemporary society. Winner of the 2006 Excellence in Short Filmmaking Award at the Asian American International Film Festival, the film is example of animation as smart social commentary.
