Reviewed by Ernarosa Tominich, MLS, Trocaire College Library, Buffalo NYSponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation, this documentary discusses the devastation and death due to hunger in Africa and South America. Every day 1500 children still die of hunger throughout the world. “Green Evolution” programs have emerged under the auspices of the United Nations to alleviate world hunger. Such programs are a collaborative effort among European and South American countries. The idea is to enable individuals to become self-sustaining by distributing seeds and teaching concepts of crop rotation and irrigation. Highlighted is Brazil’s excellent program of government-sponsored food distribution and subsidized food stores and restaurants. The United States is the least supportive country in the UN- sponsored endeavor to alleviate world hunger.
Of professional quality production, Silent killer is highly recommended.
