This short documentary focuses on three women and how they are first exposed to the concept of human egg donation and what they each experience as they go through the process. One woman is disqualified because of a case of bipolar disorder in one grandparent; one woman completes the process successfully and has no regrets; the final woman has medical complications during the process and is left with concerns about the impact on her ability to have children in the future. Additional content focuses on a myriad of issues related to human egg donation: the overly commercial nature of the process in the United States, lack of standards, regulatory or statutory language related to various aspects of the process.

Recommended because it shows an open and honest, personalized perspective on a significant issue. However, the ‘new age’ feel of the documentary and some editing issues, such as, starting in what appears to be the middle of ‘something’, undermine the credibility of the topic presentation. Best used as a tool to initiate more open discussion rather than as a stand alone item.
