This film consists of interviews with three parents of Type 1 diabetic children. The last part of the film consists of interviews with the children themselves, all of them in the age range 10-16. The film largely relies on comments from the parents about the challenges of managing a metabolic disease on a day-to-day basis, but the concluding interviews shift the focus to the children dealing with the disease itself. The upshot is that Type 1 diabetes is a tremendously challenging disease, requiring daily blood glucose measurements, meticulous measurement of food portions, exercise levels and insulin, but that with courage and awareness of support the disease can be managed successfully.

Recommended for all audiences from high school level to adult.
