This DVD is one of a series that focuses on careers in several fields that are specifically geared towards those who are finishing their high school educational experience and entering the work force. The choices of careers are menu driven and each is launched with a discussion between the hosts and includes spotlighting those in the field who have chosen a particular path of employment. The participants in their work setting are asked to define why they have entered the career field and what advice they have for those who are pursuing a position in this field. Interviewees share their personal stories which include goals and passions and advice on the importance of volunteering and internships. The dialog between the hosts and those interviewed flows naturally and is believable. The interviews are memorable and reinforce the credibility of each person as well as the importance of their career choice. The conversations are real and unscripted and this makes the video extremely comfortable to view. The audio and video quality is excellent with the auditory experience adding almost as much as the visual one. Produced with a flair for action the upbeat hosts, Paula and Kipp, use humor to keep this otherwise mundane topic exciting and entertaining. Some of the careers highlighted include Graphic Designer, Interior Decorator, Executive Chef, Special Education Teacher, and more.

This resource, one of a series, is highly recommended with great potential for use in many collections. These materials give a great introduction to the world of work and would be beneficial to junior and senior high school students as well as those working with these populations. This list includes: teachers, media specialists, home schooled students, and career counselors.
