This film examines the reign of Queen Isabella of Spain (1451-1504), and her attempt to unite her country under Catholicism. As part of this campaign, Isabella expelled all Muslims from the country, and had many architectural structures built by the Muslims destroyed. The Alhambra was spared because of its beauty and grandeur. This film paints a wonderful portrait of the life and reign of Queen Isabella, best known for being the royal patron of Christopher Columbus, through a comparison and contrast of two architectural marvels of her time period: the Alhambra and the gothic Segovia Palace. The viewer will enjoy the magnificent scenery and tours of these two palaces.
