Based upon performances from ‘Da Poetry Lounge in Los Angeles, The Poetry Lounge 2: The Power of Poetics highlights the diverse and engaging work of Nikki Blak, Javon Johnson, Gina Loring, Thea Monyer, and In-Q. Providing advice and inspiration, these young poets demonstrate the power and necessity of spoken word art.

The Poetry Lounge 3: The Power of Performance highlights the high energy work of Brutha Gimel, Crystal Irby, Paul Mobon, Poetri, and Sekou the Misfit. Providing candid advice and creative inspiration, these passionate young poets demonstrate the importance of spoken word art within today’s diverse society.

Produced in collaboration with educational advisors Alexs Pate, Award Winning Novelist Assistant Professor of Afro-American and African Studies at the University of Minnesota and Dr. Paula Wolfe, Associate Professor, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Literacy Studies, special features include a photo gallery, poetry booklet, and lesson plan written by Dr. Wolfe.
