Reviewed by Brad Eden, Associate University Librarian for Technical Services and Scholarly Communication, University of California, Santa BarbaraThis DVD examines the early stages of an exciting project called EarthScope. As mentioned in the promotional materials, EarthScope is funded by the National Science Foundation, and uses the most advanced earth exploration techniques currently available to answer persistent geologic questions about how our planet evolves and changes through earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. The use of 3D animation throughout helps to tell the story of the project, together with archival footage and interviews with students, scientists, and volunteers on the EarthScope project.
This short yet packed film is enjoyable to watch and full of fascinating information and the 3D animation is great! I highly recommend this DVD.
