Reviewed by Jane Sloan, Rutgers University LibrariesStraightforward, even simple, short description of the life of Canadian photographer, Hannah Maynard (1834-1918) who ran a portrait studio, then turned to more experimental work after the death of her young child. The techniques utilized by Maynard, such as cut and paste, duplication and multiplication of images, mirror images, and other types of collage work are used by the filmmaker to tell the story.
