Resumes: A How-To Guide is an expertly crafted instructional video providing the viewer with the fundamentals of writing a basic resume. The video walks the viewer through the steps of gathering information by creating a personal inventory. The inventory is then expanded to specifically relate to the career objective. Four different forms of resumes are provided to guide the user to choose the most appropriate and beneficial one.

The narrator speaks clearly and is easily understood. Advice from a career services professional at the University of Pennsylvania enhances the information presented. Splash screens throughout the video summarize previously presented material and introduce the next topic.

This film is highly recommended for the intended audience. High school libraries and general college libraries should include this in their collection. While geared toward high school students, public libraries may find that their patrons will also benefit from this how-to.
