This film documents the different and recent directions in neuroscience methods, particularly the use of technologies such as EEG, PET and fMRI. Compelling footage with animated graphics, spectacular brain images, captivating segments of existing research and interesting real-life applications used in this film, serve to strengthen and expand the development of MRI, EEG, PET and fMRI techniques for examining the structure and functions of the brain.

Specific cases of ongoing experiments that demonstrate the use of these technologies are well presented, especially experiments on the role of mirror neurons in autistic children. The film discusses neuroscience with respect to form and function and introduces undergraduates in neuroscience classes to the methods and basic terminology in neuroscience. The film is a viable tool for educational or instructional use for undergraduate neuroscience and psychology students.
