The documentary Angela’s Journey is about Angela Vecchio-Ozmon, a young mother dying from breast cancer who believes her mission is to preserve a legacy of “life not death” for her young children and others. Death is part of the life cycle: everyone dies. Consequently Angela decides to “divorce” her cancer and live fully “in the moment.”

Angela is full of life. She exercises, get pedicures, has a boyfriend. The reality however is that she is unwillingly dying without recourse. She must accept her ordeal including the loneliness, body image adjustment and physical discomfort of her cancer.

Angela’s Journey aired on Canadian television to help others work thorough the thoughts, feelings and tribulations of living with terminal cancer. This professional production is well organized and presented. It contains excellent individual coping strategies and life philosophies that enable one to better understand and endure combating this most serious disease. Although compelling, Angela’s Journey is one of many documentaries in this category. Recommended for general audiences from to junior high to adult.
