Roots & Branches is a 15-part educational series that focuses on the diverse cultures and peoples of northern California, especially around the Bay Area. This particular DVD, #3, looks at Dr. Ali Ferdowsi, professor, and Shahrzad Khorsandi, dancer. This series has aired on many northern California cable stations, and won prizes in the Berkeley Film and Video Festival. A very interesting look at two individuals in the Bay Area who maintain ties to their cultural past and yet have adapted and thrived in America
