This program examines the theory and science behind black holes: What are they? How would they exist? What would they be comprised of? These and many questions are examined by MIT's Max Tegmark and Shep Doeleman along with string field theorist Michio Kaku. Einstein's General Theory of Relativity related to black holes, quantum mechanics, and string theory are all examined for possible relationships to the existence of black holes. Other questions posed include how black holes relate to the Big Bang, and attempts to image and find black holes. This DVD provides current research and theories regarding black holes. There is some nice animation, and the program would be of interest to any general science class from junior high upwards.
