This animated video is aimed towards students in grades 1-3. Its main purpose is to teach children about the importance of voting. The main characters, brothers Sam and Charlie, set out on a quest in an effort to educate students about the voting process and its significance in a true democracy. The history of voting rights and their relevancy is mentioned. The process of registering your vote in person is discussed in detail. The story is somewhat fast paced, making the video amusing. Young students will like the diverse animated characters as they all have their own missions and therefore, play out scenarios that demonstrate why voting is important. Blackline Masters found in the packet, designed for the classroom use, support this important topic. Viewers are directed to the Ameriquest website for a video clip and more information. Additionally, the Ameriquest kids have a Facebook page. This video is highly recommended.
