Rules of the Road is an interactive driver's education course on two DVDs, which would be perfect for adolescents but also useful for adults seeking to refresh their driving knowledge and awareness.

Disc 1 is divided into 7 parts on how to use this program: It contains Lessons; Passing the Written Test; Practice exams; Signs Index and a Virtual Driver (Bonus Lesson) where the viewer is put behind the wheel of a vehicle and then asked questions on several driving scenarios. One problem I encountered was the visibility level of each incident even though the viewer is experiencing what happens while they are driving. This feature should get a lot of raves from viewers and is easy to understand and follow. There are printable documents as well and subtitles. The viewer will experience a variety of driving situations including parallel parking, highway merging, night driving, and right-of-way rules.

Disc 2 follows the same format as Disc 1 and includes a complete behind-the-wheel program ideal for assisting parents and teachers enhanced with tips on auto safety, car maintenance, preventing road rage, and what to do in case of an emergency. A bonus of nine printable drive packets spanning ninety-five pages, as well as eight interactive practice DMV written tests round out this enthusiastically recommended addition to school and community library collections.
