It is not designed to be a clinical or technical video, but rather an awareness tool for any adult audience. Despite an increasing body of literature and research in this topical area, we as a society have yet to openly discuss and/or understand this issue. With an increasing percentage of the population over the age of 65, the need for open dialogue only increases. The video presents candid and sometimes humorous interview vignettes with a variety of elderly, among them a newly wed couple in their 70s, a couple married 64 years, and a widow of 3 years. Despite their physiological changes associated with aging, without exception everyone interviewed reinforces the importance of sexuality and physical intimacy in their lives. A variety of other issues such as erectile dysfunction, menopause, and masturbation are addressed. Interspersed with the interviews, a physician provides some general information on each of the issues mentioned. He succeeds in dispelling as fact many of the sexuality and aging related myths that we have come to so readily accept. Recommended
