With very detailed prescriptions for investment strategies, this presentation by revered asset manager, radio host, and author Ken Stern will be welcome to those wanting not only general guidelines for investment, but granular directions for his investment advice. In so doing, Stern offers clarification in terminology and coherent stories and analogies. The most conspicuous quality of this presentation is its encompassing look at wealth accumulation and protection. Stern does not simply promote a “the more the better” approach, but offers guidance in the management of one’s life as it pertains to wealth. For example, not only does he advocate families’ acquisitions of such documents as a living will and durable power of attorney, but also calls for families to hold meetings to communicate the exact intentions and specifications of such documents. All of these topics may make the presentation appear gushy and/or disparate, but the information is well presented and all of its components clearly contribute to its inclusive attitude toward wealth management.

The use of a studio audience gives the production an infomercial feel at a few moments, but generally the venue works well as Stern connects with the audience with his advice. The presentation is lively, intelligent, and particular. Those wanting macro to near-micro level investment guidance will benefit from this work.
