This fascinating film is a performance/poetic unveiling of four male dancers at midlife, who are still in their prime in terms of their bodies and identity, yet probe their pasts and topics such as fading youth and the need to be understood. The inspiration for this film comes from a stage production titled La Quarantaine 4 X 4 by Charmaine Leblanc (who collaborated in this DVD). All 4 male dancers are in their 40s; their names are Marc Beland, Marc Daigle, Benoit Lachambre, and Ken Roy. Interspersed among the dances by the males are animated sequences and portraits by illustrator Pol Turgeon inspired by famous painters. A very interesting and unique presentation and topic.
