The lives of the rich, powerful, and shallow are presented in this Peruvian film. The story develops around a wealthy family, the father an industrialist, his kids Diego and Andrea, and his girlfriend Elisa. Diego, completely lost and obsessed with his sister, is perhaps the only one a bit more conscious about social injustices. Andrea, a bit of a rebel and involved in alcohol and drug parties, gets lost in her superficial life full of problematic situations. Elisa, coming from a poor background, hiding her family and friends, tries to quickly learn the tricks to embrace her new lifestyle.

This well-directed film features good acting, a good subject, beautiful views of the ocean, and it flows well. Like the characters, nothing is treated deeply enough to expose the shocking differences of wealth and poverty that Peru has been living with for years. It does not capture anything new in terms of social issues, cultural or political, to make it a thought-provoking film. It feels like pure superficial entertainment. Nothing stands out to make it a significant film to have in an academic library.

The picture and sound quality are good. It is in Spanish with optional subtitles in English.
