In this documentary, writer and producer, Thomas Keith, takes a provocative look at contemporary culture and the perpetuation of sexist ideologies throughout all media outlets. Keith examines the contributing factors which keep “bro-culture” sexist and offers advice about things, which we as a society, can do to turn this trend around. The documentary is divided into four segments, in which Keith examines a contributing factor, “Train Men To Womanize”, “Immerse Men In Porn”, “Make Rape Jokes” and “Obey the Masculinity Cops.” Keith does an extraordinary job representing all views of this phenomenon, through the combination of expert opinions, statistical information, pop-culture references, as well as target audience interviews. This documentary covers several different disciplines, such as gender studies, popular culture, psychology and sociology. The cinematography and sound quality are excellent. This film does contain strong language, sexual content and adult themes that could be inappropriate for some viewers. This film will be a great addition to any academic library.
