This DVD is a recording of three lectures given at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on January 2nd, 2007, by Melanie Phillips, Isi Leibler and Professor Robert Wistrich. The focus is on British society’s weak response to the radical Islamists within its borders, and the concomitant rise in anti-Semitism. Melanie Phillips, author of Londonistan, gives a particularly cogent and direct attack on British multiculturalism. She includes some very sobering survey data, and gives a sharp critique of Britain’s view of their own culture. All three talks are thought-provoking, and could work very well in a course, especially if paired with a Muslim perspective on some of the same issues. The lectures are also freely available on YouTube.
