Walk this Way provides an astonishing and captivating look at the world of Ron Bachman, a man with no legs. As we enter his world through the camera, we understand that nothing stops this man from doing anything he wants.

Ron, born with a congenital birth defect, had small legs he couldn't use. The camera allows us to see Ron moving on these stumps as a young child before they are removed at age four. After lumbering around on full-leg prostheses, Ron decided to be rid of the cumbersome devices and walk in his own way using his hands.

Ron is shown as a funny, well-adjusted person enjoying all aspects of life including attending Aerosmith concerts and driving a three-wheeled motorcycle. We see Ron's wedding picture and an interview with his daughter. She talks about the close relationship she enjoys with her Dad; a legless man who has full custody of her.

Ron is filmed as he comfortably cooks in his kitchen and shops with his daughter. Later we view him working as a radio announcer. We see Ron driving himself to an elementary school to talk to young children about how his disability has affected his life, both now and as a child.

Ron's spirit is heartwarming. This video is not only recommended for those coping with a disability, but for everyone. The camera effectively captures Ron's exuberance as he shows us how the spirit and strength inside us can help us overcome anything.

This is the video program you want your children to see. I would recommend it to any library - especially school libraries. However, adults can be inspired by this warm presentation of an amazing man with an indomitable will.
