This DVD contains four videos related to the impact of Arizona's immigration law, known as SB 1070, on the lives of immigrant families in Arizona, and the documentation of a Women and Children's Advocacy Day held in Washington, D.C. on July 15, 2010. The four videos are: 1) Arizona Women and Children Rise (18 min.); 2) Women and Children's Advocacy Day (9 min.); 3) Women and Children's Advocacy Day Press Conference (11 min.), and 4) Women and Children's Advocacy Day Hearing (22 min.). These videos and the Women and Children's Advocacy Day were directed by the National Day Laborers Organizing Network (NDLON), the National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA), and the Puente Movement. Much of the video is in English and Spanish with English subtitles. A very powerful video compilation on the effect this law is having on the everyday lives and fears of migrant and immigrant workers in Arizona, dealing with the sensitive topic of illegal immigrants in the United States.
