This film provides a detailed and fascinating account of the mining industry in Canada, how many mining companies have made enormous profits from mining without any regard for environmental or human health, and the current status of many mining sites throughout Canada. The directors use archival footage, photographs, and interviews to record and present the devastation and environmental impact that mining in Canada has produced at both the human and the landscape level. I highly recommend this video to environmental studies classes, Canadian studies and history classes, and ethics classes. The directors are very blunt and direct in their presentation of this issue, similar to their earlier film Forest Alert (1999).
