Saving the Life Keepers is a documentary film on the colossally important issue of developing healthy and sustainable bee populations. The film highlights successful beekeeping practices in both urban and rural environments across Central and North America. These practices constitute a new science that comes in response to our overreliance on modern and highly destructive monoculture enterprises and the resulting collapses of our native bee populations.

This documentary includes numerous, compelling case studies on successful urban and rural beekeeping operations; it also includes practical solutions for attracting and keeping healthy bee populations. Furthermore, viewers are introduced to world renowned bee experts, Brian Campbell and Dr. J. Javier Quezada-Euan, who discuss the importance of maintaining plant biodiversity, planting protein-rich flowers, and fighting bee parasites and diseases without chemicals and antibiotics.

Saving the Life Keepers is a welcome and genuinely positive contribution to the often discouraging science of the natural world. This reviewer highly recommends this title for academic, public, and school library collections.
