Reviewed by Susan Awe, Parish Memorial Library for Business & Economics, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NMThis documentary, shot in London, Vienna, and across the U.S. on three DVD’s, presents the most comprehensive history behind the current world depression and the bankers’ goal of dominating the global economy; plus traces the origins of the political power structure which rules the world today. Here you’ll find out about the hidden manipulation and accumulation of gold and other forms of wealth. When the private Bank of England in 1694 was forced on a nation, the yoke of economic slavery began and has become a heavier burden in the centuries since, spreading to many of the nations of the world.
The archival black-and-white film and still footage interspersed with current interviews with historians, economists, and financial experts and current city/street views is fascinating and used to remarkable effect. Marx’s prediction that capitalism would someday collapse has not happened but still could if another good alternative system comes along. Editing of the scenes was effective. This DVD is suitable for high school and college students as well as adults, and libraries will want to add it to their collections to educate the voters.
