A film that is certain to be an inspiration for many, A Life Without Words provokes deep thought. An important documentary that’s both enlightening and full of emotion; you will walk away with a lasting appreciation for language as well as the human spirit. Viewers are taken on a journey inside the world of two hearing impaired siblings in rural Nicaragua; the story that unfolds speaks to the power of non-verbal communication and the job of educators around the world. This film is a teaching and learning tool for all who watch it; students with disabilities will be especially inspired to achieve their academic and life-long endeavors. I highly recommend this film to be added to high school and public library collections everywhere.
