Domestic violence, dysfunctional families, and the hardships of life are just some of the issues addressed in this thought provoking documentary. Rene Catcheway and Melvin Delorme are excellent at boxing and mixed martial arts but they are struggling in school and are at risk of dropping out. Can fighting help these two guys? Fight is a great movie that will inspire and motivate you to pursue your dreams, whatever they may be. An important film that brings light to the subjects of amateur boxing, martial arts, and the benefits of engaging in these activities; there are published studies that suggest that fighting for fitness and recreation not only enhances physical and mental health, it also boosts confidence, self-esteem and motivation. These young men found the motivation they didn’t know they had thanks to a high school teacher and boxing instructor. The film also speaks volumes on the subject of how teachers can have a positive impact on the lives of at risk youth.
