One afternoon, while sitting in his backyard with family, the producer and narrator of this short production spies a drone lurking in the air above a neighbor’s yard. From the initial shock of this encounter, the narrator embarks on a mildly amusing, but more snarky, stream-of-consciousness reverie/jeremiad/musing on drones and their current and potential future impact on our lives. That’s really about it. 13 minutes that you’ll never get back; the equivalent of 2 – 3 games of Mah Jong Titans, which may be a more useful use of your time. Someone liked this film, since it received an award, but then, sometimes we critics get it wrong. The production is flawless technically, but this reviewer sees this as an extremely marginal purchase.
