More Than the Rainbow focuses on taxi driver turned street photographer, Matt Weber. Dan Wechsler's film chronicles Weber's history of shooting street scenes in New York City. Weber provides an interesting and affable centerpiece for a film that quickly transcends this straightforward narrative.

What makes More Than the Rainbow exceptional is the inclusion of interviews with other photographers, including Dave Beckerman, Ralph Gibson and Zoe Strauss, among others. In discussing Weber's work, they raise numerous issues about photography in general, such as shooting in digital vs. analog, color vs. black and white, street photographer vs. more abstract forms. These discussions are fundamental issues in photography and More Than the Rainbow provides an excellent introduction for novice photographers, as well as entry points for deeper critical insights for more experienced artists.

More Than the Rainbow includes plentiful examples from all the photographers and uses tracks from Theolonious Monk to underscore Weber's New York centric images creating a compelling viewing experience.
