Where Am I? provides a detailed description of spatial behaviors by integrating spatial theory with practical realities of world experience. It identifies brain structures that underlie navigation, and correlates their importance in technology development. The film entails a wide range of research and specific case studies that range from animals to humans. With this approach, the filmmakers provide insights into the science associated with everyday activities of mental mapping and navigation. Some of the research highlighted in the film nicely fit into the given examples, while some did not. The strength of the film lies in the ability to integrate cultural issues with neuroscience perspectives. In general, Where I Am is a good resource for students, researchers, hikers, orienteers, as well as those interested in navigation.
