This documentary follows two-world class alpine climbers on their attempt to climb K2, considered the world's most challenging and dangerous peak, in the Himalayas. The history and geography of the Karakoram Range, where K2 and Everest are located, is discussed, along with the first expedition to reach the summit, that of the Duke of the Abruzzi in 1912. The DVD extra features include extended interviews, a deleted piece called Death on Broad Peak, and bonus clips. The photography is magnificent, as is the danger inherent for both the climbers and the photographers.
