This video is one in a very large series of videos from the Advances in Science and Technology Series, which presents over 250 of the latest advances in these topics. Each video has four to six five-minute infomercials on various topics. This particular video discusses new advances and procedures related to bone, knee, hip and joints. The titles of the infomercials are: "Osteoporosis", "See Through Bones", "Dem Bones", "Thinking Knees", "Artificial Knees", and "Big Hip". Since these videos are produced by London Television Service, the people and situations featured are British.

I could tell immediately from the video that each of these infomercials had been played as instructional segments between television programs. The information provided is up-to-date and of interest to both general television viewers and to medical specialists. This video, as well as the entire video series, would probably be of interest to those in medical education or in the medical field, and perhaps to the general public, with the caveat that there is little to no information given about where to find out more about these innovations, or how practical these new technologies are. These videos are recommended for an educational context only.
